Free Flow Poetry's mission is...
to bring awareness to the local Arts Community. One way we plan to do this is by creating collaborating situations between artist and small local businesses. These are two groups, especially in Michigan, that is in great need of assistance and attention. By bringing these two communities together we hop to create thriving long lasting relationships. What we expect to come out of those relationships is a stronger better community. The idea of Free Flow Poetry came out of thoughts about about how to help others sustain themselves and the want to give back to the community. With that being stated, our mission isn't to only provide support for small the small business and artist. Free Flow Poetry will donate time and money to local charities and causes.
FEATURED POEM:
The death of innocence
Innocence stealing life.
Robbing souls of chance of opportunity.
Innocence robbing themselves of life.
The blood of innocent lives on wayward hands.
The streets are crying, crying for the children.
Silence in return, complaining in return, big talk in return to cries of help.
In silence I hear screams.
In silence tears falling to pavement.
Response of no action.
Souls suffering, suffocating in the prison of their mind.
Imprisoning themselves with false thoughts of manhood.
Following deceptive perceptions of life.
Following false examples of man and woman.
Innocence no longer innocent
Locked behind bars due to dealing out bricks thinking that is the way to build a house.
Innocence no longer innocent
Standing on corners selling their sacred souls for a quick buck
Sirens coming around corners quickly innocence disappears
Innocence is fleeting
Innocence must get stolen back, preserved and allowed to age
Aging of innocence is the saving of lives.
